and we dare insist that it be passed by the full Alabama Senate

We need to focus.

HB141 came out of the Senate Health Committee with a favorable recommendation.

HB141 could go directly to the Alabama Senate floor now. However it will have a better chance at success if it comes out of the Senate Rules Committee via the Senate Special Order Calendar.

So our first present objective is to get HB141 on the Senate Special Order Calendar.

We can motivate the Senate Rules Committee members most effectively by reaching-out to them (or their staff) directly. Originating an email directly to the Rules Committee Senators. Picking-up our phones and calling the offices of the Senate Rules Committee members, so their staff can hear the determination in our voices.

If you are on Facebook or Twitter, originating communication directly to the Senate Rules Committee members from your own Facebook or Twitter account will be most effective.

Many animal advocates in Alabama say that saving the spay-neuter clinics is personal. If that is true, then our communications must be directly originated from us.

We must be willing to say to each Senate Rules Committee member: ‘My name is ___ ___ and I am requesting that you put, or support the placement of, HB141 on the Senate Special Order Calendar. We must publicly, and individually, own what we want.

We must be willing to speak truth to power.
